In the autumn of Kuitun, Xinjiang, the cotton fields look like snow. The green branches and leaves hold up clusters of bursting cotton bolls, painting a harvest scene of “green branches and leaves releasing white fluff.”
On September 27, the 7th stop of the “Dual Power for Efficiency, Harvest in Hand – GESC & BASF National Field Tour” came to this land of hope, successfully held with the strong support of Xinzhe Agriculture.
The event kicked off with a warm welcome speech from Mr. Song of Xinzhe Agriculture. The cotton field before everyone’s eyes was not only land nurtured by hard work, but also a stage where technology and wisdom intertwined.
More than 200 leading growers and agricultural peers from surrounding areas gathered here. Through on-site observation, they directly experienced the yield gains brought by scientific fertilization, and in Q&A exchanges, they shared insights on increasing production and income.

The cotton fields before everyone’s eyes were not only nourished by hard work, but also served as a stage where technology and wisdom converged. More than 200 major growers and agricultural peers from the surrounding areas gathered together, witnessing firsthand the yield benefits of scientific fertilization, and engaging in discussions and Q&A sessions on strategies for increasing production and income.
At the demonstration site, the highlight was undoubtedly the “talking” model cotton field.
Pointing to the cotton data wall, Mr. Ding from Xinzhe Agriculture explained that the fields using the GESC & BASF efficiency-enhancing program showed remarkable advantages: more cotton bolls, more capillary roots with deeper root systems, green branches and leaves still thriving without nutrient loss even as the cotton burst open, heavier bolls with plumper seeds, and stronger, thicker stems.
“This green leaves with fluffy white cotton is the perfect sign,” said Mr. Ding. “It means the plants are still healthy and photosynthesizing, giving enough nutrition for the bolls to grow.”
Mr. Zhao Peijun, Regional Manager of Ruixiang Agriculture, explained the benefits of the program for Xinjiang’s special sandy and saline soils. Ordinary fertilizers don’t work well here, but with BASF’s Vibelsol® DMPP, nutrients are released steadily and last longer, reducing losses. NPE helps crops absorb nitrogen better while unlocking phosphorus and potassium. Chelated trace elements give balanced nutrition and improve quality. GESC’s special “Golden Elephant Cloud” package further boosts metabolism and helps crops store more nutrients.
“What’s most important,” Zhao added, “is that the product also contains biocontrol factors that make crops stronger and less likely to get sick, which means higher yield and better cotton quality.”
Mr. Song from Xinzhe Agriculture shared his experience with the full planting program. He noted that through close cooperation with GESC and BASF, growers are provided with an all-in-one nutrition solution from planting to harvest, making cultivation more scientific and worry-free. During the on-site technical exchange, users expressed their satisfaction and showed strong willingness to continue using the program next year.
The most exciting moment came during the yield measurement session. Mr. Zhou Zhuoliang, Manager of Ruixiang Agriculture, invited attendees to randomly select a cotton plant for a full yield test. “Each boll weighs 9.6 grams!” he announced after weighing, which drew waves of admiration from the crowd. Zhou then did the math: “With 11,000 plants per mu, after deducting moisture and impurities, the yield is about 700 kilograms per mu, compared to the usual 600 kilograms. That’s an increase of 70–80 kilograms per mu!” This figure greatly encouraged the farmers on site.
In follow-up interviews, the farmers’ feedback was vivid and heartfelt:
-
“I’ve never seen yields this high before—I really need to learn this program well!”
-
“After seeing the demonstration field, I don’t even want to go back to my own plot.”
-
“The cotton here is thriving—strong stems, big bolls, and heavy weight. The average boll weight has increased by about 20%.”
These simple yet sincere words revealed the farmers’ deep longing for good harvests and served as genuine recognition of the GESC & BASF efficiency-enhancing program.
This field tour not only demonstrated the strong technical capabilities of GESC and BASF, but also allowed farmers to witness firsthand the tangible results of “Dual Power for Efficiency.” From the promise of harvest to the joy of harvest in hand, GESC and BASF are using science and strength to help growers secure higher yields and greater income.
In this season of abundance, the cotton fields of Kuitun, Xinjiang, sent a clear message: technology empowers agriculture, and wisdom creates harvest. The partnership between GESC and BASF is injecting new vitality into Chinese agriculture, helping more and more growers move from “relying on the weather” to “working with the weather,” truly putting the hope of harvest firmly into their own hands.
Ruixiang Agriculture—safeguarding harvests, adding value to yields! See you at the next stop, where we will continue to witness more miracles of abundance!
